We continue our look at the merchandise for the upcoming Star Trek film with this first look at the new toys available exclusively at Burger King's with the purchase of their Kids Meal. The promotion begins the week of May 4. These super deformed toys are very similar to the ones produced in 2005 for Burger King's Revenge of the Sith promotion. The cool thing about these is that they also come with sound chips, so each figure has a line of dialogue from the film. The promotion will also include some super deformed mini vehicles and props. The Enterprise toy will play a piece of the Alexander Courage theme to The Original Series. Other vehicles include The "Jellyfish" (Spock's Ship), The U.S.S. Kelvin (George Kirk's ship), A Federation Shuttlecraft, The Police Hoverbike seen chasing young James T. Kirk on the first trailer and a Klingon Warbird.
A TOS style communicator and tricorder miniature will also be available. Burger King will also have a set of four collector's glasses available for purchase. Posters advertising those have begun to show up at Burger King restaurants nationwide. Also keep an eye out for a TV commercial to go along with this promotion. The commercial was actually shot on the Enteprise set at Paramount during principal photography of the film.
