Finishing the Sub

Most of the detail on the sub in on the conning tower. The periscopes are very nice and thin.

Here you can see how far the periscopes project down into the hull. Since I made this a waterline kit, I had to saw off most of the periscope housing. Some workers from the Revell WWII German Navy set.

The view down the conning tower. The hatch can be glued open or closed. This is a nice feature for those who want to superdetail the kit.

This is a very long and skinny kit. It makes a very good wargame model as a waterline kit. Too bad it is so much work. It took longer to waterline the kit then to do the rest of the work.
